Why do the need darkness?
1. They need darkness because if a red wiggler is in sun light it can dry up the slime to because its cells to dry up with UV ray from the sun and then the worm dies.
2. If in direct sun predators like birds can easily catch a worm; with their limbering speed. Other predators include rats/mice,moles,insects and small reptiles/amphibians. NOTE: These are predators in different conditions for example birds are predators if in direct sunlight and reptiles if near water.
